Hot Cross Buns

Now who doesn't love a good hot cross bun?!  They are even better when you bake them fresh ready for the Easter celebrations.  We were on the hunt for the perfect bun to add our flavours to and after a few attempts we found one.

We found this recipe over at One Handed Cooks and it was our favourite.  We've given it our own twist with different fruits and spices. 

Instead of allspice we added a mix of : 2 tsp mixed spice, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp ginger 

And our fruit combination replaced the sultanas:
40g sultanas, 40g cranberries, 50g mixed peel 

To get that shiny look just after you glaze them, pop them back into the oven for a couple of minutes.  

They are delicious warm from the oven.
