Brioche by Philip Eastland Review

I've walked past Brioche by Philip many times, but finally with no kids in tow I was able to enjoy a relaxing coffee and maybe a treat.  I popped in and checked out their bronuts but I chose to do my shopping first and head back there on my way out....BAD MOVE.  I was eyeing off a yummy looking caramel bronut but they had sold out on my return.  That'll teach me.

It is a very inviting cafe with high ceilings, booth seating, lots of windows and lighting and a splashes of mint in the tiling and wire chairs.

As I walked in I bumped into some old customers of mine from my cafe days so I joined them for a coffee and sneaky mandarin danish (it was only a mini one).  We all ordered different milks in our coffee but the barista and staff were all over it.  Our coffees arrived to the table as soon as they'd been poured and were the perfect temperature and very smooth to taste.

I grabbed a coffee for the drive home and was chatting to the barista Tom (who is possibly the manager as well).  I was watching him making coffee on a very nice looking machine while we discussed how good the 5 senses coffee beans are.  They now use the Dark Horse blend and the passion he showed pouring each cup was incredible.

My takeaway coffee was equally as perfect as the first.  I will definitely be back and this time it'll be for morning tea.  I will get the bronut!

Rating: 5/5 for the perfect coffee I received on the day.
