Boon Wurrung Cafe | Cranbourne Botanic Gardens
If you are looking for a child friendly place to eat then Boon Wurrung Cafe is one to visit. Lots of space, kids meals, colouring to entertain the kids and amazing views. You can find the cafe next to the Australian Gardens entrance. As you enter you are met with a display of yummy cakes and the aroma of freshly ground coffee and the coffee is good!
On a recent visit for breakfast we tried the Eggs Benedict and the Granola. The kids had some of the extra bacon and ham whilst picking the berries off my granola. The service was great with the staff being friendly and helpful. The meals were really quick to come out of the kitchen too.

The cafe has started running school holiday activities for the kids. During these Winter holidays it’s pizza making in the first week and donut decorating the following week. They both sound like lots of fun.
If you get a good day with no rain there is fun to be had in the botanic gardens. A walk around the gardens and a quick play for the kids gets rid of some of that energy they always seem to have.
The kids always have a ball on the dragon. I’m not exactly sure that’s what this is but there’s a tail, eyes and the slide coming out of his mouth.
The views here really are something. The gardens, the sky, the lake. So many photo opportunities too.
